Did you know that digital orders have risen to one-third of total restaurant and convenience store food orders, up from just 12% pre-pandemic? Restaurant operators have been struggling to adapt to this, particularly since the digital orders are often accompanied by a substantial commission!
The hotel industry went through similar challenges about 20 years ago. The lessons learned may prove very helpful to restaurateurs as they navigate their way through this new distribution landscape.
